Your Privacy Rights (CCPA & State Privacy Laws)

This notice supplements our Privacy Policy and describes the rights available to residents of California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws, and how to exercise them.
We share your information with law firms and advocates, and that may be a "sale" or "share." Northstar Claim Help is an advertising and lead-connection service. When we transmit your request to a participating law firm or advocate, and when we use advertising pixels, those transfers may qualify as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under California and other state laws. You can opt out at any time: Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.

Business purposes for disclosure: connecting you with a law firm or advocate; contacting you where you consented; maintaining consent records required by law; site operation, security, and fraud prevention; advertising measurement; legal compliance.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
2. Your rights
California (CCPA/CPRA)
- Right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed it.
- Right to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions, including our obligation to retain consent records.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information: exercise here.
- Right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information: exercise here.
- Right to non-retaliation for exercising any of these rights.
Other states
Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have comparable rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy of their data, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling. Several of these states also provide a right to appeal a denial; see §5.
Nevada residents may submit a verified request to opt out of the sale of certain covered information under Nev. Rev. Stat. 603A.
Washington, Nevada, and Connecticut residents: additional rights apply to consumer health data, including the right to withdraw consent and to have that data deleted. See our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. We do not currently offer our questionnaire to residents of these states.

No account is required. Tell us which right you are exercising and provide the email address or phone number you used, so we can locate your record.
4. Verification and authorized agents
To protect your information we must verify your identity before acting on a request to know, correct, or delete. We will match the information you provide against our records and may ask for additional information. We will not use it for any other purpose.
You may use an authorized agent. We may require written proof of the agent's authorization, and we may ask you to verify your own identity directly with us.
5. Timing and appeals
- We confirm receipt within 10 business days.
- We respond substantively within 45 calendar days, extendable once by a further 45 days with notice.
- Opt-out requests (sale/share, targeted advertising) are honored within 15 business days, and we notify third parties to whom we sold or shared the data in the preceding 90 days.
- Appeals: if we deny your request, you may appeal by emailing privacy@legalleadaxis.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will respond within 45 days with our decision and reasons. If we deny the appeal, you may contact your state Attorney General.
6. Global Privacy Control
Where required by applicable law, we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by your browser or extension as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and to limit the use of your sensitive personal information, without requiring any further action from you. We do not respond to legacy "Do Not Track" headers.
7. Notice of financial incentive
We do not offer financial incentives or price or service differences in exchange for the retention or sale of personal information.
